Audiocenter DS10 - 10" Point-Source Installation Loudspeaker

The Audiocenter DS10 is a 250W passive full-range loudspeaker with a 10" LF driver, 2.5" voice coil, and 124dB continuous / 130dB peak SPL- the top of the DS series and the cabinet specified when a venue needs the full range of what a compact point-source installation speaker can deliver. Frequency response extends to 55Hz (–10dB), covering programme material from bass-heavy music to speech reinforcement without subwoofer support in most mid-size installations. At 288×526×325mm and 13kg, it is larger than the DS06 and DS08 but still compact relative to its output capability. IP54 rating and Polyurea coating make it a permanent outdoor installation option, not just an indoor one.

The DS10 also introduces two features not present on the smaller models: a 1.75" voice coil HF driver for improved high-frequency power handling at sustained levels, wider coverage options at 90°×60° or 60°×90°, selectable 0° or 10° pole mount angle at the base, and a rear handle for single-person installation and positioning.

The DS10's 130dB peak SPL puts it in the territory of full-size installation cabinets from other manufacturers in a package that still flies on an M8 insert, pole-mounts on a standard 35mm stand, and fits a single person to carry and position with the rear handle. The wider 90° coverage pattern suits larger rooms where the DS08's 70° pattern would leave coverage gaps without additional cabinets.

Where does the DS10 get specified?

Large function rooms and event spaces — 130dB peak and 55Hz low-frequency extension means the DS10 handles full-range programme at levels that satisfy live music and DJ events without subwoofer augmentation in rooms up to medium-large size. The 90° coverage pattern fills wide flat-floor spaces from a single flown or pole-mounted cabinet position.

Outdoor stages and live music venues — 250W continuous power handling sustains output through extended performances at high levels. IP54 keeps it operational in rain and splash environments permanently, not just temporarily. Side-of-stage, delay tower, or main PA in smaller outdoor venues — the DS10 covers all three roles.

Theatres and performing arts spaces — the 1.75" HF voice coil handles sustained vocal and orchestral programme at high levels without the compression that limits smaller drivers in demanding theatrical applications.
