Superyacht Gathering Audio Visual

When the stakes are high and the audience expects nothing but excellence, event organisers turn to trusted professionals. Edwards Hire recently delivered flawless AV services and technical support for the prestigious Superyacht Gathering at Auckland’s Maritime Room. With a guest list full of influential figures from the global yachting community and a programme covering topics like marine conservation and innovation, there was no room for error. Long-time client and event organiser Linda Berry praised Edwards’ professionalism and reliability, describing the team as “faultless” in delivering seamless technical execution for over 15 years of demanding, high-end events.

Sound System Services for Ratri Before Navratri

Edwards provided a top quality sound system and an audio engineer to take ‘Ratri Before Navratri 2022’, a two day Hindu dance festival to a new level of professionalism.

City Rail Link Livestream Tunnel Breakthrough

On 14 September 2022, history was made beneath Auckland’s city streets as the City Rail Link Tunnel Boring Machine broke through to the new Te Waihorotiu Station, completing the twin tunnels of New Zealand’s largest ever transport infrastructure project. Edwards, the long-standing AV partner of City Rail Link, was on hand to live stream the milestone event to a global audience and transform the raw, underground station into a unique event venue. With uplighting and projection tailored to the industrial setting, and careful planning to meet tight access and safety requirements, Edwards delivered a striking, stress-free experience that left guests in awe.

Live-to-Air Gala Dinner

Edwards were honoured to provide audio-visual equipment and support to a National Tribute evening celebrating Sir Wayne ‘Buck’ Shelford at a sold-out Westlake Boys High School auditorium. Sky Sport NZ televised the event live, and replayed the evening on free-to-air on Prime TV.

AV Services for Sales Conference for ABC

When nearly one hundred ABC Business Sales staff gathered at Auckland’s Maritime Room for an evening of networking, insights, and entertainment, Edwards ensured the AV experience was seamless from start to finish. With high-profile speakers like Sir Ian Taylor and Darren Pratley, a live band, and a cocktail masterclass from Black Pineapple, the event required careful planning and technical expertise. First-time event organiser Nikki Amosa, ABC’s IT Manager, credits the success to Edwards’ responsive, hands-on approach—managing all technical liaison directly with presenters and suppliers, anticipating needs on the day, and helping her feel supported every step of the way.

Community Art Installation AV and Lighting

Edwards brought creative flair and technical expertise to the East Auckland Art Trail, delivering an immersive outdoor installation in the heart of Howick Village. Working in partnership with East Auckland Tourism Inc, the Edwards team designed and installed a wall projection of local art and video at Fencible Walk—complete with battery-powered uplights to add texture to the surrounding trees and a sound system to enhance the atmosphere. With meticulous planning, on-site testing, and backup options like a pop-up marquee for equipment protection, Edwards ensured everything ran smoothly. The result? A stunning audiovisual display that delighted the community and organisers alike.

Charity Auction and Livestream for WWF-NZ

Edwards provided AV support for MC, actress Antonia Prebble, speakers, and the Harcourts auctioneers, as well as videoing the proceedings and live streaming the action to the online viewers – and most importantly to the online bidders. It was the first time that Harcourts New Zealand had used the Auctions Live platform for a hybrid charity event, so everyone was on a learning curve.

We provided our centrally located Auckland studio for the MC and organisers to use on the day, all the audio-visual equipment required, and technical support. It was a new experience for the MC but being in a studio with the Edwards crew made all the difference.

Conference Streamed to 450+

Unfortunately, a week out from the event, Auckland returned to Alert Level 3 and a physical event became an impossibility. DOC’s Strategic Partnerships Advisor and Edwards transformed the physical event to virtual in six days.

Retirement Village Celebrates with Gala Dinner

A touch of glamour lit up St Andrew’s Retirement Village in Glendowie, Auckland, for their annual Mid-Winter Gala Dinner and Dance. With 160 residents in attendance, the evening sparkled with live entertainment, elegant ambience, and professional lighting design by Edwards Hire. Long-time collaborator and event organiser Debbie Wilsher, who has trusted Edwards for over four decades, knew just who to call to bring her “Putting on the Ritz” vision to life. From creative lighting solutions that protected freshly painted ceilings to flawless on-the-day operation, Edwards delivered a magical event that had residents dancing all night.

Transforming Orams Dry Stack

We transformed Orams Dry Stack for the opening party of the Superyacht Gathering. Edwards provided DAS Audio sound systems throughout the space, warm and exciting ambient lighting in place of the house lighting, an LED screen, staging and a video of the event.

When the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) set out to host the country’s first Young Professionals in Real Estate (YPIRE) Conference, they knew the right AV partner would be critical to its success. Held at Auckland’s Shed 10, the high-energy event needed more than just screens and sound—it needed a team that could bring a bold vision to life. Pacific Fusion Fashion Show Lighting

The Pacific Fusion Fashion Show (PFFS) is more than a fashion event — it’s a bold celebration of Maori and Pacific identity through design, performance, and culture. In 2019, the show marked its fourth year with an electrifying production held at the Vodafone Events Centre in Auckland. Livestreaming an AGM for SmartPay

Smartpay Ltd is known for staying ahead of the curve, so when it came time to hold their Annual General Meeting, they chose to livestream the event to ensure remote shareholders could take part in real time.
