Why Venues Are Moving to Permanent LED
A projector depends on a dark room, a clean screen, and a lamp that hasn't accumulated thousands of hours. In a working hall or church, none of those conditions stay reliable for long. Lamp output fades, ambient light washes out contrast, and the result is a dim image the back row can't read.
A permanent LED screen has no lamp to replace and no contrast battle with daylight. At P2.6–P3.9 pixel pitch, the image is sharp and bright across the full depth of a standard hall, so it's readable from the back row whether the curtains are open or not. And unlike a projector, the screen doesn't degrade year on year.

Custom manufacture matters: every panel in your array comes from the same production batch, with matched colour temperature and brightness across the full screen surface.

Built for Real-World Environments
Our Lampro screens include two features that matter specifically for permanent installations in active venues:
GOB Protection Glue-on-Board (GOB) encapsulation covers the LED pixel surface with a hard resin layer. If a chair leans against the screen, a mic stand makes contact, or a stray object hits the surface during a changeover, the individual LEDs underneath are protected. Surface contact is still discouraged and may leave marks, but it will not damage the pixels.
Front-Access Servicing If a panel ever requires replacement, it is accessed and swapped from the front face of the screen so no dismantling of the frame, no access required from behind the wall. For screens mounted against a solid stage wall, this keeps long-term maintenance straightforward and low-disruption.
The Installation Process
Site visit One of our technical team visits your space to assess the wall, viewing distance, ambient light conditions, and power requirements. We establish the right pixel pitch for your specific hall depth before anything is specified or ordered.
Custom manufacture Your screen is manufactured to your exact dimensions and requirements and not assembled from old mixed warehouse stock. Lead time from order is approximately eight to ten weeks.
Installation and commissioning On-site installation takes approximately two days. Our in-house team handles everything: licensed electrician, carpenters, programmers, and technicians. We commission the control system to suit how your venue actually operates and typically provide a simple interface a non-technical staff member can run without training.
Ongoing support Edwards is local. If something needs attention, we're available not a distant supplier shipping replacement parts from overseas.
