Audiocenter DS06 — Compact Point-Source Loudspeaker for Professional Installations
The Audiocenter DS06 is a 100W passive full-range loudspeaker in a CNC-machined multi-ply birch enclosure, built for permanent installation in venues where sound quality, placement flexibility, and long-term durability all matter. At 200×380×215mm and 8.5kg, it fits where larger cabinets cannot — and with IP54 weather resistance and a durable Polyurea coating, it works reliably whether that is inside a conference room, behind a bar, under a courtyard pergola, or exposed to the elements on an outdoor stage.

Why does the DS06 work across so many different applications?
Most installation speakers are compromised by their mounting options. They fly well but cannot be pole-mounted. They are rated for indoors but fail outside. They are compact but sacrifice coverage or output to get there.
The DS06 is designed around the one thing that matters most to an AV integrator or installation contractor: it goes anywhere and sounds right when it gets there.
The rotatable horn switches between 70°×50° and 50°×70° coverage patterns so the same cabinet covers a wide shallow space like a restaurant or bar in one orientation, and a narrow deep space like a conference room or corridor in the other. No different model required. No additional stock.
The bottom-mounted M8 rigging insert allows the cabinet to be flown at 0° or 10° downward angle, wall-mounted on a bracket, or dropped onto a standard Ø35mm speaker pole. A single cabinet covers three different deployment methods used across three entirely different venue types.
IP54 rating means the DS06 is protected against dust and water splash from any direction. It handles outdoor courtyards, covered terraces, poolside installations, and semi-exposed stage positions without a separate weatherproof enclosure or additional protection.
Where does the DS06 get specified?
Conference rooms and corporate venues — compact enough for boardroom corners and ceiling soffits, with 112dB peak SPL providing clear speech reinforcement in rooms of any size. Passive crossover means it runs directly from a standard installation amplifier with no DSP requirements for basic operation.
Bars and restaurants — the Polyurea coating holds up to the environment bars put equipment through. The rotatable horn adapts to whatever the room's geometry requires. Background music at low levels, foreground music at high levels — the DS06's 60Hz–20kHz response handles both without separate subwoofer requirements in most hospitality spaces.
Outdoor courtyards and terraces — IP54 keeps it running in the rain. A 100W passive cabinet on a pole mount or wall bracket covers a standard courtyard seating area with even distribution and enough headroom for live music levels.
Houses of worship and theatres — the 6" LF driver and 1.5kHz crossover point produce natural mid-range reproduction critical for speech intelligibility and vocal clarity. The compact footprint keeps the cabinet unobtrusive in architecturally sensitive spaces.
Live music venues and side-fill applications — 118dB peak SPL from a cabinet this size is a specification worth noting. The DS06 works as a compact stage monitor, a side-fill, or a delay speaker in larger systems where a full-range cabinet needs to fill a specific zone without dominating the room visually.
Custom colour and finish
Black Polyurea coating is standard. Custom colours are available direct from Audiocenter for projects where the cabinet needs to match an architectural finish or disappear into a ceiling or wall. Contact Edwards to discuss project requirements.
