ZYCOO IPS-K-BT1 Programmable BLE Wearable Button
The ZYCOO IPS-K-BT1 is a neck-worn Bluetooth Low Energy button that triggers actions on a ZYCOO IP audio system. Each press can be programmed to sound an alarm, play music or call another person. It currently works with the ZYCOO IPS-M1-BW, IPS-M1-D1W and IPS-M1-D2W speakers. It is IP66 rated, comes with a lanyard, and has a card slot so it can double as an ID badge holder.
It suits schools, hospitals and nursing homes, offices and events, where staff need to start an action without finding a phone or reaching a wall button.
A button staff will actually wear
A button only gets used if it is on the person. The IPS-K-BT1 is a flat 8.5mm badge on a lanyard, and it holds a standard CR80 ID card, so it can replace the badge a person already wears. The single soft rubber button is large enough to find by feel. A red LED and a buzzer confirm the press.
What a press can do
The button is programmable. A press can be set to:
- Sound an alarm: the paired speaker passes the signal to the server, which makes all connected IP speakers play the alarm.
- Play music: start a chosen audio playlist or file.
- Call another person: start a call to a chosen contact.
Using it as a panic or duress button is one of these functions. It is not a stand-alone, general-purpose panic button. For a fixed button that calls a phone system directly, see the PB-S11.
Range and battery
- BLE 5.0: transmission range up to 150m in open areas.
- Battery: 800mAh Li-Mn cell with a typical life of 3 years on default settings.
- Real-world range: walls, metal and other radio traffic reduce range, and volume settings and usage affect battery life. Test coverage on site before relying on it.
Card holder, NFC and access
The side slot takes a standard CR80 card. The button also supports NFC, which can be used to pass data to access control systems. That means one device can serve as ID badge, access credential and panic button. For schools and offices it can also support attendance, visitor flow management and temporary ID badges for events.
Built for harsh conditions
The polycarbonate case is IP66 rated against dust and water jets, and operates from -20°C to +60°C. It suits kitchens, wards, workshops and outdoor duties where a standard badge holder would not last. The housing is white with a red button.
Works with IPS-M1 speakers
Currently the IPS-K-BT1 pairs with three speakers: the IPS-M1-BW, IPS-M1-D1W and IPS-M1-D2W. When the button is pressed, it signals its paired speaker, which forwards the signal to the server. For the alarm function, the server then triggers all connected IP speakers. This needs a ZYCOO IP Audio Center server, such as the IAS-L100 or your own on-premise or cloud installation.

Frequently asked questions
What is the IPS-K-BT1 used for?
It is a programmable wireless button. A press can sound an alarm, play music or call another person. It can be used as a panic button, but that is only one function.
Which speakers does it work with?
Currently the IPS-M1-BW, IPS-M1-D1W and IPS-M1-D2W.
Is it a stand-alone panic button?
No. It needs a paired IPS-M1 speaker, and the alarm function relies on the IP Audio Center server. For a stand-alone wired panic button, see the PB-S11.
What happens when I press it as a panic button?
It signals the paired speaker, which forwards the signal to the server. The server then makes all connected IP speakers play the alarm.
How far does it reach?
Up to 150m in an open area. Indoors, walls and other obstacles reduce this, so test coverage on site.
Does it need charging?
No. It has a sealed 800mAh battery rated at about 3 years on default settings. The battery is not replaceable.
Can I use it as an ID badge?
Yes. It has a CR80 card slot with side insertion, and NFC for access control data entry.
Is it waterproof?
It is rated IP66, which covers dust and water jets.
Does it come with a lanyard?
Yes. One lanyard is included.
