ZYCOO IPS-M1-D2W Network Multi-Info Speaker (Dual-Sided)

The ZYCOO IPS-M1-D2W is a SIP speaker with a colour LCD on both sides and a strobe, built to hang from a wall or ceiling bracket where people approach from either direction. It plays announcements, shows the same message on both screens and flashes a strobe, so an alert is heard and seen along a whole corridor. It has dual microphones for two-way talkback and registers with the ZYCOO IP Audio Center or any third-party IP-PBX.

It suits corridors, open spaces, classrooms, public areas and other sites in education, healthcare, transport, commercial and industrial settings, where a message needs to be noticed from a distance and from both sides.

Two screens, one message

The two LCDs show synchronised content at the same time, so a person walking either way sees the same notice. The IPS-M1-D2W is the double-sided version of the IPS-M1-D1W, and is the better choice when the speaker will project from a wall or hang from a ceiling in a thoroughfare.

Wi-Fi and wearable smart button support

The IPS-M1-D2W has dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 2.4GHz and 5GHz) as well as Ethernet, with dual-connection routing between the two. That suits corridors and buildings where running a cable to every position is difficult. It also has Bluetooth 5.0 with BLE, which lets it work with wearable smart buttons such as the IPS-K-BT1. A button press can start an alert, place a SIP call, recall a scene preset or operate a relay for a door lock or access system, within Bluetooth range and with no extra infrastructure.

Emergency alerts and scenes

Audio, both screens and the strobe start together when an alert is triggered. Lockdown, fire and intrusion scenes come pre-configured, and the strobe colour and pattern can be set for each event. Alerts can be triggered by a SIP call, the API, a switch input or a BLE wearable button. Scene presets combine text, colour and strobe, so a single trigger sets everything.

Audio and volume

Adaptive volume uses a separate ambient microphone and works in two modes. Static compensation measures noise before playback and applies a fixed adjustment. Dynamic compensation keeps re-sampling during playback and adjusts in real time, which suits lobbies, platforms and factory floors where noise changes. Full-duplex SIP intercom uses G.722 wideband audio.

Installation

A universal bracket is included and supports both wall and ceiling mounting. A single PoE+ cable carries power and network data.

Power options and output

The IPS-M1-D2W runs on PoE+, PoE or an external 24V/2A DC supply. Output depends on the source:

PoE+ is the intended power source. Standard PoE gives only 2 x 1.5W, which is very quiet, so use PoE+ or DC for real paging duty. Use DC if you want full output or want to connect over Wi-Fi.

Paging, talkback and integration

• Two-way talkback: dual microphone design for communication from the unit.

Configuration and monitoring are done through a web interface, so messages, templates and strobe profiles can be changed remotely. The operating range is -20°C to 50°C. The warranty is 24 months.

What is the difference between the IPS-M1-D1W and the IPS-M1-D2W?
The D1W has one screen and mounts flat to a wall. The D2W has a screen on each side, with two speakers, and mounts to a wall or ceiling bracket so it can be seen from both directions.
