The StagePro is the mid-tier workhorse in the Chiayo portable PA range — a step up in power, speaker size, and mixing capability from the Focus 505, while remaining genuinely portable and fast to set up. Edwards NZ has supplied Chiayo portable systems for over 25 years and the StagePro is one of the most consistently reliable systems in the hire fleet.

The StagePro delivers 150 watts of Class D power through a two-way 8" speaker system with a 1" compression driver, covering audiences of up to 300 people for speech events and performing well for music and background audio at smaller gatherings. It runs on its internal rechargeable battery for 5 to 6 hours playing music or over 10 hours for speech-only use, and accepts mains power for all-day events. Battery and mains operation can be switched without interruption.

Where the StagePro separates itself from simpler portable systems is its mixing capability. Two XLR combo inputs accept wired microphones directly, with individual gain control, 3-band EQ, and reverb per channel. Two 6.3mm instrument inputs handle a guitar or keyboard feed. The built-in digital recorder captures directly to USB or SD card — useful for recording ceremonies, lectures, or meetings without any additional equipment. Bluetooth streaming handles music playback from a phone or laptop without cables.

Up to four modular wireless microphone receivers can be fitted, with two installed as standard in this hire package. The hire includes one handheld and one lapel wireless microphone — either can be swapped for a headset at no additional charge, and additional microphones can be added for a small fee. All Chiayo wireless receivers operate across 100 selectable UHF channels for reliable interference-free performance.

The Voice Priority function automatically reduces music volume when a microphone is active — ideal for events where announcements need to cut through background music without someone reaching for the volume control. Note that Voice Priority should be switched off if a performer is singing with backing tracks, as it will reduce the music level when the vocal microphone is open.

Need to cover a larger area? The HSTAGEPACK2 package adds a wireless companion speaker that links to the StagePro via RF signal with no audio cable required. Range extends up to 80 metres from the master unit, and multiple speakers can be chained using the repeater system to cover large sites, separated areas, or venues where running cable across pathways or roads is not practical. This is a genuinely unique capability that most portable PA systems on the market cannot match.

Want more microphones? The StagePro accepts up to four wireless receivers simultaneously. Additional handheld, lapel, or headset microphones can be added at a small additional charge, making it suitable for panel discussions, MC setups, or events with multiple presenters.
