ZYCOO IPS-H1 Network Horn Speaker
The ZYCOO IPS-H1 is an IP66-rated SIP horn speaker for live paging, public address, background music and emergency notifications in large, open or noisy areas. It delivers up to 20 watts on external DC power (16W on PoE+, 10W on PoE) and has a built-in microphone for two-way talkback. It registers with the ZYCOO IP Audio Center or any third-party IP-PBX.
It suits schools and campuses, factories, warehouses, transport facilities, car parks, industrial sites and other places where announcements have to carry over distance and background noise.
Built for distance and noise
The IPS-H1 uses a high-efficiency horn with a 1.5" midrange driver, tuned for projecting speech rather than reproducing music. Sensitivity is 105dB at 1m/1W, with a maximum sound pressure level of 118dB on DC power. The frequency response is 400Hz to 8kHz, which is the range that matters for intelligible paging and alerts.
Adaptive volume control (AGC) uses the built-in microphone to measure ambient noise and adjust the output. A speaker covering a loading dock or playground can raise its level when it gets loud and drop it when it quiets down.
Power options and what they mean for output
The IPS-H1 can be powered over PoE, PoE+ or an external 24V/2A DC supply. Output depends on the power source:
| Power source | Standalone | With one APS-H1 extension |
|---|
| External DC (24V/2A) | 20W, 118dB max | 2 x 20W, 2 x 118dB max |
| PoE+ (802.3at) | 16W, 117dB max | 2 x 8W, 2 x 114dB max |
| PoE (802.3af) | 10W, 115dB max | 2 x 5W, 2 x 112dB max |
On PoE and PoE+, the power budget is shared when an extension is connected, so each horn gets half the output. If you need full output from both horns, use the DC supply.
Cover more area with one network port
Connect one ZYCOO APS-H1 extension horn to the IPS-H1’s extension port and a single network endpoint drives two horns. This reduces cabling and PoE switch port use, which helps on sites where a second cable run means trenching or long conduit.
Paging, talkback and integration
- Two-way talkback: the built-in microphone supports two-way communication from the speaker.
- Zone paging and multicast: multicast scales across large sites, and P2P allows direct audio between endpoints.
- Three SIP account lines: register the speaker to more than one account or system.
- Standard SIP: works with the ZYCOO IP Audio Center and third-party IP-PBX platforms.
- ONVIF compatible: connects to video surveillance platforms for event-linked paging and security workflows.
- Flexible API and MQTT: integrate with automation tools, third-party platforms and custom applications.
- Dry contact output and input: trigger or be triggered by external equipment such as gates, sensors and beacons.
- VC-Z01 compatible: works with the ZYCOO VC-Z01 Network Volume Controller for local volume adjustment.
Weather and installation
The chassis is anti-rust treated aluminium rated IP66, with an operating range of -20°C to 70°C and humidity up to 95% non-condensing. It mounts to a wall or pole using the supplied bracket, and has attachment points for safety cables. Configuration and monitoring are done through a web interface, so settings can be changed remotely without climbing up to the speaker.

Frequently asked questions
Does the IPS-H1 need a separate amplifier?
No. It has a built-in Class-D amplifier and works as a standalone network speaker.
Can I power it with PoE?
Yes. It runs on PoE (up to 10W output) or PoE+ (up to 16W output). For the full 20W, use a 24V/2A DC supply.
How do I cover a larger area?
Connect one APS-H1 extension horn to the extension port. One network connection then drives two horns.
Is it fully weatherproof?
It is rated IP66 and has an operating range of -20°C to 70°C, so it suits outdoor and unheated indoor spaces.
Does it work with third-party phone systems?
Yes. It uses standard SIP and works with the ZYCOO IP Audio Center and other third-party IP-PBX systems.
Can people talk back through the speaker?
Yes. The built-in microphone supports two-way communication.
