The VANTEC6K2 is Edwards' flagship point-source PA system — two DAS Audio VANTEC-215A dual 15" active tops and two VANTEC-18A powered 18" subwoofers, driven by a professional Soundcraft mixer. Combined peak output exceeds 8,250 watts. This is the most powerful and highest-quality portable PA system in the Edwards hire fleet before stepping up to the line array systems or adfding more subwoofers.

The VANTEC-215A is a genuinely exceptional cabinet. Twin 15" custom neodymium drivers, 2,250W peak, 138dB peak SPL, and FIR DSP processing deliver a sound quality that competes with touring systems costing many times more. Combined with two VANTEC-18A subs, this system handles everything from large corporate gala dinners to high-energy DJ events with equal authority — and it still sets up cleanly and quickly without a truck full of equipment.

The system requires a large van — the VANTEC-215A cabinets are substantial and the two VANTEC-18A subwoofers are 43kg each, requiring two people and proper loading space. Edwards can arrange delivery and setup if self-collection is not practical. Once up and running the system is straightforward to operate at the mixer: source selection, levels, and EQ. Wireless microphone systems for presenters, performers, or MCs can be added at booking — handheld, lapel, and headset options available.

For events where a dedicated sound operator is in charge or where multiple inputs, monitor mixes, and full effect recall are needed, the Soundcraft mixer upgrades to an Allen & Heath SQ5 or SQ7 digital console — the professional choice for large corporate events and live music.
